Hello, prospective students and families!  

Welcome to Intermediate School 381!  I.S. 381 is a small and nurturing school community of approximately 300 students, serving Grades 6-8.  Our administration and staff are committed to providing students with rigorous and engaging instruction that is tailored to their needs.

We provide a platform where students are encouraged to explore new talents and continue to build on their existing ones.  We aim to cultivate a positive social and emotional mindset in our students so that they develop strong characters and personalities.

I strongly believe that, as educators, "We don't show our students how to follow the path, rather we teach them how to create a path of their own."  Our goal is to produce critical thinkers and problem solvers.  In the next few pages, I invite you to take a brief tour of our school community to learn more about our programs and initiatives.  I look forward to welcoming you to our I.S. 381 Family in 2021!
